Florida Vacation

A long time ago (before kids) I never thought I would go back to a vacation spot year after year.  But where can you go that is 80 degrees in February, less than a 3 hour flight and in the US?  FLORIDA!

 Emily ready for the pool!  Our FL hotel had a heated outdoor pool for the kids to play in.  They also had many water fountains to look at and play around.

 The day before we left I asked Liam to gather some toys that he wanted to take on the trip.  He told me he didn't want any toys just a shovel and bucket to take to the beach.  The first day we were there we went to the beach to work on building sandcastles.  I think we need a sandbox this summer!

Joe and Linda met us for a windy morning at Delray Beach. 

 We found a playground near the hotel that was the perfect size for Liam and Emily both to enjoy.

We went to the Miami Seaquarium.  During the dolphin show we were right next to the tank.

 It was so cool to be up close.

 Liam thought it was hilarious when the dolphins splashed the audience.

 Then...

 His smile was quickly restored when we went to look at the fish and this yellow guy swam right up to the window and looked like he was going to give Liam a kiss.

 We saw the killer whale show.  This was an amazing show and again we were so close to the tank.  This time we selected the seats behind the handicap area that was marked as a no splash zone.

 Look at those teeth!  The trainers fed this whale more fish during the show than I could eat in a year!

Liam and Emily enjoyed seeing Joe and Linda and playing the piano in their Florida condo.
