Just when I say we are moving out of the train phase Liam sits next to his train tent and newly built track to work on his Thomas the Train puzzles!
Peek a boo. Emily loves playing games especially with Liam. Their favorite right now is chase and dark dark. Dark dark is a game Liam made up. First you have to turn all of the lights off then Liam tells Emily to go hide and everyone says "where is Emily" and she runs out laughing.
Another favorite is playing dress up. Here she is wearing Liam's t-shirt that she pulled out of the laundry basket.
We had some snow last month that allowed for an extra day home with Ryan. This time Liam decided to go play in the snow and Emily stayed in. Liam thought it was fun to make footprints all around the yard.
Emily has been spending a lot of time doing art projects. She loves painting, markers, coloring with crayons, stickers, and play doh.
We signed Liam up for a gymnastics class Saturday mornings to burn off some energy. He loves doing the new flips and headstands. I was equally excited when I found out they offer a summer camp!
Grandma Helen came to visit for a few days. I am so happy everyone reads to our children. It is one of their favorite activities and one of the only ways I can get them together in a picture.
Playing with the camera.
Liam CAN READ!!! He has been practicing for a while now but we can check out a new book from the library and he will sit down and read the entire book out loud. I have a 5 minute video of him reading this book if I can figure out how to post it. He is starting to read more to Emily and is gaining confidence daily.
Since Liam is no longer napping, we are doing a lot of activity books together when Emily is asleep. It is a great way for him to practice handwriting and strengthening his hand muscles.
I was so impressed when he completed this page all by himself! (he needed some help with writing the letters but knew all of the words and how to spell them.) What a smarty pants.
Brrr we went to an Easter egg hunt the week before Easter and it was cold and rainy. Liam and Emily found a lot eggs and had fun playing with their friends. I happily ate all of their candy.
