This and that

Emily's new words are this and that.  She points and says, I wa THAT! or THIS!  This especially applies to anything that Liam is doing or playing.  She thinks she can do anything that he can do.  We think she can say about 20 words and a few phrases.

Our train tracks have grown too large for the train table.  The table is now used for Emily's toys so she can stand and play while Liam's tracks take up the rest of the floor.

One of Emily's new favorite games is dress up.  She likes to put pj's over hear head or pretend that they are a scarf.  She likes wearing glasses and hats.  I think this will be a lot of fun in the future.

When Liam was little I read a lot about object attachment and tried to rotate his sleeping toys so that he wasn't attached to a particular one.  Emily has been attached to her dog (on the left) since about 6 months old.  When she was just learning to crawl she found the dog in Liam's bed and he said she could have it. She loves this dog.  Dog was one of her first words and when he is in the washer or car she will ask for him until we go get it.  Since she is so attached to dog we purchased a new one.  We didn't realize how beat up 3 year old dog was until the new one arrived.  Do you think she will notice the difference and accept new dog when the other is missing?
