Mother's Day weekend grandma Smith came to visit. Liam wanted to take her to one of his favorite places. The zoo.
Here we are watching a mom and baby gorilla, The were looking for a good spot to take a nap.
A few days later grandma Helen came to visit. Emily warmed up quickly with some help from puppet piggy.
We took grandma Helen to some of Liam's other favorites. We visited national harbor (aka the beach), gymboree, and the zoo again. Liam's interests are expanding. He is very interested in the beach and sea life. When we asked what he wanted his birthday theme to be oceans or trains he said ocean. He is also showing some interest in dinosaurs. It may be because of a new tv show that I recorded for him, Dinosaur Train's, Dinosaurs from A to Z. But I'm excited about learning more than building tracks and the names of all the Thomas trains!
Favorite water fountains at National Harbor. We haven't been since Christmas and when we got there he said "OH! I remember this mommy!"
As we approach three I am noticing a huge jump in vocabulary and sentence structure. I don't think there is a word Liam couldn't pronounce at this point. Sometimes he just talks too fast it comes out unclear. His expressions and sentence are pretty funny too. Negotiating is another skill I didn't think he would learn so early but he is always trying to ask for more.
