What happened to 10 months? We have been busy! Here is a picture of Emily at 10 months wearing Liam's former favorite pjs. Best way to make them look like hers was a coordinating bow. Emily liked these pjs too and kept laughing at her monster feet.
Emily's new game is opening drawers and doors and putting objects in and out of things. She likes to give Liam all of his bath toys when he is in the tub and she isn't. One of her favorite toys is her bin full of socks. She will pull each pair out, separate them, give them a taste and throw them on the floor. My upstairs has little socks spread about but it keeps her busy for at least 20 minutes!
Climbing stairs carrying giraffe. Emily found a way to move around and carry things.
We have a very active girl on our hands. She thinks that she is a big girl and tries to do everything Liam can, like jumping on the couch. Here is her 11 month old picture with me trying to keep her in her chair then it turned to this...
jumping in the chair
And finally seeing if she can carry mommy's camera like her toys.
When the computer is fixed I will post the 1978 version of this picture with little Sara. My mom has told me countless times if I was quiet she knew where to find me. In the bathroom eating toilet paper.
Other notes about 11 months, she is saying book, dog, and bear. She pretends to read books and can turn pages easily, even soft ones. We are exploring finger foods since she is refusing all baby food. The first time I offered her a spoonful of food she put it right in her mouth and didn't miss or catch a cheeck. She is only waking once per night. This is something I was really worried about with Liam but what I discovered is that I would rather wake up at 3 or 5 to give her a 10 minute bottle than start our day at 5am! So with Emily, I'm fine with it and she will stop when she is ready. The highlight of my day last week was Emily giving me high 5! We were eating dinner and I gave Liam a high five for trying a new food. Then Emily held up her hand. When I held mine up in response she hit it. It was adorable and we all laughed. Liam is starting to realize how fun Emily can be.
