13 months

There seems to be so much to write about now. Liam is learning a lot everyday. We went to the grocery store the other day and Liam took my credit card and was trying to run it through the payment machine. This may be a sign that we shop too much but the other shoppers where impressed.

Liam has a lot to learn and does not have time to be bothered with me trying to capture cute shots. This month I tried to occupy his time with the turtle but he wasn't impressed. He did recognize the duck though and repeated the word several times before I even said it. And look how big he is! I think he has grown at least an inch since his dr. appointment.

He spends a lot of time putting objects on elevated surfaces and going from sitting to standing. He has taken a few unassisted steps but only when I let go first.

His fine motor skills are improving. Sunday he waved to Ryan and I, and he will clap on occasion.

Liam's vocabulary is expanding. He mimics words that we say such as; thank you when we give him an object, and 1-2-3 when he is stacking items. He is also learning body parts. Below is his response to where is your belly? Bellies are a lot of fun, he thinks ours are hilarious.

We are giving him 100% table foods, 80% sip cups, and 20% formula. We tried cold turkey to eliminate the bottle and after 2 days without one the fun of drinking from a cup wore off. Now we give him a bottle in the am and pm and sip cups throughout the day. We also tried to give up formula but somehow he knows when it is in there so we add 2 ounces to the milk. Liam has also rejected one brand of milk. Not sure what is so different but he refuses to drink it in a cup or bottle. He may be strong-willed like his parents.
