Grammie came to visit the first weekend in December. Friday we spent time around the house, in Old Town and then to a park for geocaching.
Saturday Liam, Paulette and I went to Mt. Vernon. They had beautiful decorations for the holidays and a chocolate demonstration.
At the start of the tour they gave us a kids treasure hunt map and at the end our treasure was a flat penny with a picture of Mt. Vernon on it.

Sitting in the big chairs.
Saturday evening we took Liam to see the Meadowlark's Winter Walk of Lights. It was the best light display I have ever seen. There were lights everywhere and lights that danced to music.
Grammie bought us goggles that made the lights look like snowmen and snowflakes. We had fun with them at the walk of lights and at home with our own tree.
Ryan getting the kids ready for bed and reading Jingle, our Christmas dog, a story. Emily loves Jingle. She gets so excited when he growls and barks during the story.
Sunday Paulette and I went to visit the Ford's Theater and the White House (from the outside.) The picture above are all of the books written about President Lincoln.
Sunday night Liam and Emily opened their present from the north pole. Alex, our Christmas elf, came to watch over us and report back to Santa. We are having a lot of fun finding him every morning in a new spot.
One of Emily's new favorite actives is playing with stickers. Here she is sticking them on paper while laying on the floor like a big girl.
We are getting ready for Christmas...
