Family fun

 We took Liam and Emily to the local water park.  Liam was much more adventurous this year.  He wanted to play on the slides and get wet!

 Something they could do together.

 Last weekend a big thunderstorm come through and knocked out the power in the DC area.  We were without power for 2 days which seemed like weeks!  During that time Emily practiced walking.  She is very steady on her feet and refuses to crawl.

 The 4th we took Liam and Emily to see their first parade.  It was a very small local parade which is exactly what I was hoping for.  The entire parade lasted 20 minutes and we were out of the house less than an hour.

Happy 4th of July!  Liam watched his first fireworks from our bedroom window.  He was woke by the noise and feared it was another thunderstorm.  Ryan and I showed him what the booming was all about and he enjoyed watching the different colors.  Liam even commented that they were beautiful.
