Spending Time Inside

We have not gone out much.  With a newborn, several 100 degree days, and not feeling great myself, it has been best to stay inside and play.  Liam misses going out and seeing friends so much.  Often in the morning he will grab his shoes, look at me with his big blue eyes and ask, "play?" "park?" "bye-bye?" "outside?"  So he has had a lot of time to work on his fine motor skills, alphabet, numbers, and dancing.  His speech is also improving and I am hearing several new words and phrases.

Emily likes being on her tummy and will often fall asleep during tummy time.  I did manage to catch this picture with her head up.  She is so strong, just like Liam was.  Not sure if all babies are this strong but she can already scoot off the play mat.
Yesterday we weighed Emily and she has gained two pounds since birth!  She was 8 pounds and 12 ounces.
Sweet baby feet that Liam and I play this little piggy with.

Exhausted after a walk around the neighborhood.  Emily is starting to have more wake time and smiles all the time.

I am not sure if its because he is two or because we have spent so much time indoors lately but Liam has matured a lot the past month.  He listens well, helps me around the house, cleans up his toys, and is such a good big brother.  The other day while I was eating lunch, Emily was doing tummy time and Liam laid down next to her and offered her his favorite toy airplanes to play with.  Then he held her hand.  It was so sweet.
Getting ready to GO!
We took his tricycle out for a ride after dinner.  This was the first time out of the house.  He has been practicing pedaling and steering inside.
